Difference between Mild Steel and Stainless Steel
The carbon content of mild steel ranges from 0.15 percent to 0.45 percent, with the rest being iron. Mild steel is ductile, meaning it can be bent quickly, but it has low corrosion resistance. Nuts, screws, bolts, and other metal products are commonly made from them.
A stainless steel is an alloy of iron, Nickle and chromium. They have a high level of corrosion resistance. They’re tough and can withstand a lot of stress. They’re usually used in kitchen appliances, medical equipment, tubing, and other places.
Stainless steel is resistant to oxidation and corrosive attack by the majority of corrosive media. So, they’re excellent for wet grinding.
